Texas Lawmaker Gawks At Trump Thanking Elon Musk for Pennsylvania Win: 'Is He Confessing to Another Damn Crime?'

A Texas representative seemed to infer from Donald Trump's speech ahead of his inauguration that the president-elect had been discussing "rigging the election."

In the viral clip, which has since amassed more than 4.7 million views, Trump thanked Tesla CEO Elon Musk for his work "campaigning" for him in Pennsylvania during his "Make America Great Again Victory Rally."

"He was very effective. He knows those computers better than anybody. Those vote counting computers. And we ended up winning Pennsylvania, like, in a landslide. It was pretty good. Thank you to Elon," he said.

The video led to Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett raising questions about what Trump meant by that statement in a post to X.

"So Trump is rambling on about he and Elon rigging the election?! Am I missing something or is he confessing to yet another damn crime?!" she tweeted Sunday.

In another video from the rally, Trump also mentioned the election being "rigged" while talking about the World Cup and the Olympics, which will be held in the U.S. in 2026 and 2028 respectively.

"It's only because they rigged the election that I'll be your president representing you there," Trump told the crowd.

Crockett's tweet, which has been seen an additional 3.8 million times, was littered with comments from users thanking the congresswoman for raising awareness about the oddness of Trump's statement.

"Finally someone in Govt. who is speaking up!" one user commented. "Thank you for being the Dem in Washington to acknowledge *anything* about the 2024 election," another user tweeted.
