Attention "50 Shades" fans! The "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie has a release date! Sam Taylor-Johnson was confirmed as director, in addition, producers Dana Brunetti and Michael De Luca are signed on to the project. Focus Features has now revealed that "Fifty Shades of Grey" will be released on August 1, 2014!
And with the release date being a mere 400 days away, I'm sure a lot of countdowns have already begun. So now that we know when the movie is coming out, and we have a confirmed director, there must a confirmed cast right? Tell me who is playing Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele!
Rumors have been floating around for weeks regarding who will make the legendary Grey come to life, most recent reports have indicated that "Vampire Diaries" star Ian Somerhalder will take on the role of the sexy, young, and rich, entrepreneur.
And as for Anastasia Steele, we have heard that Alexis Bledel, who has starred in "Gilmore Girls" and "Mad Men," may have firmed up the buzzed about role. Bledel seems to be the outright fan favorite to snag the sexy role, Paddy Power, a betting company, considers Bledel's odds at 5/1, and stars such as Amanda Seyfried, Emilia Clarke, Felicity Jones and Sasha Grey at 10/1 to nab the sexy part.
