The New Orleans Pelicans are the owners of the longest winning streak in the NBA currently, at 4 games. They are being led by Zion Williamson who has scored over 20 points in all 4 games and has a double-double in half of them.

The Pelicans are now second in the Western Conference after many had high hopes for them as their performance in last year's playoffs was a great story. They are filled with a lot talent including Brandon Ingram, CJ McCollum, and Jonas Valanciunas. They also have a bunch of young talent in Herb Jones, Trey Murphy III, Dyson Daniels and Jose Alvarado.

The main reason for their success has been their high-powered offense along with a surprisingly effective defense. They are sixth in the NBA in offensive rating and 3rd in defensive rating. Teams that finish top 10 in both categories are almost always serious contenders.

It remains to be seen just how far this Pelicans squad can go this season. However, it is known that the Pelicans have one of the best collections of young talent in the entire NBA and will be contenders in the near future.
