YouTuber And Beauty Guru Mel Thompson Dies At Age 35

The followers of YouTube Make-up Vlogger, Mel Thompson, were left mourning her loss. The news of her sudden demise was shared on social media by her family. The 35-year-old influencer leaves behind four young children and her husband.

Puffin Thompson, the husband of the YouTube star, announced her demise on Instagram. On Monday, Sept. 27, Puffin posted a heartfelt and emotionally charged message with ten photos of his wife on her Instagram handle and announced to the world about Mel’s sudden death.

While the particular reason for her death was not shared on Instagram, the news of Mel’s passing comes exactly one year later to her post where she stated that she was fighting a lot of health issues, as the Daily Mail reported.

Puffin alluded to her worsening health condition in the Instagram post he shared. He also expressed how she took care of the family and dedicatedly took time out to look after the children, no matter how hard it was.

Elizabeth Spencer, a close friend of the YouTuber, commented on Puffin’s Instagram post to disclose that Mel was diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome.

It is a genetically inherited disease that affects the patient’s connective tissues like the blood vessel walls, skin and joints, New York Post shared. Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome causes the patients to have overly flexible joints which means that patients face issues with wounds and stitches. It is because, in this condition, the skin of the patient is not usually strong enough to hold the stitches.

It is yet to be known that whether the cause of Mel’s death is linked to the Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome or not.

Right after Puffin’s sentimental tribute to his loving and ‘beautiful’ wife was shared on Instagram, Mel’s YouTube channel was showered with tributes and heartwarming messages from her fans all over the world.

Fellow YouTube stars and make-up artists which include Hindash, Lisa Eldridge and James Welsh also opened their hearts in the comment section. They shared comments showing their love and support for Mel’s family.

Puffin, in his post, wrote that Mel would have done anything if someone asked for help, without giving it a second thought.

The death of a loving and caring person who became a YouTube star has shaken the lives of 1,70,000 subscribers and 57,000 followers. They mourn with the Thompson family as comments and reactions keep pouring in from all over the world.
