Snakes come in all shapes and sizes but rarely would anyone get to see one that measures about 10-feet long. Some may find it hard to believe but there are pictures to prove that there was one stumbled on by clearers over at the Dominica rainforest.
Per reports, people working in the rainforest were left aghast when they saw the huge reptile being lifted by a crane. Videos of the whole thing were uploaded on social media with most left astonished at the discovery.
As of this writing, it has yet to be confirmed what kind of snake was dug up at the rainforest clearing operation.
Dominica is known to be a Caribbean paradise measuring just 29 miles long and 16 miles wide. It has been dubbed as “the Nature Island” since it houses a vast array of wildlife.
So far, the only huge snake known on the island is a boa constrictor. It is a snake that can grow up to 13-feet long.
This kind of reptile is known to first bite prey with its teeth before wrapping themselves around the victim and squeezing them to death, the New York Post reported.
People online who were able to see the video could not help by reacting insanely. Others believe that the discovered snake is a new record of sorts as far as the world’s biggest snake is concerned.
In other footages, rescuers could be seen struggling to fit the snake in a car. At least three people tried to carry the reptile towards the vehicle.
The discovery of the huge snake comes not long after one of the deadliest snakes was found in the UK after crawling into a suitcase in India.
The reptile was reportedly agitated and aggressive but did not attack when it was found in Coryton, Essex. A reptile expert rushed to collect the animal and took it to South Essex Wildlife Hospital.
