A 32-year-old woman reportedly chopped off the penis of a 40-year-old man in Bihar, India. The shocking incident occurred at Bishunpur village that falls under the territorial jurisdiction of Sahebganj police station in Muzaffarpur district of Bihar.
The brutal incident occurred on May 10. According to the police, the victim was seduced and lured into being intimate before the accused, Pavitri Devi, allegedly chopped off his genitals. The victim was rushed to a medical facility where his condition was assessed and classified as extremely critical.
He was further referred to another hospital in Patna. His penis was successfully reattached by experts at the Patna hospital, but he is still battling for his life, Times Of India reported.
The Station Head Officer, Ashok Kumar said that the victim was “on the verge of collapsing due to excessive bleeding.”
The alleged assault by Pavitri Devi was brought to the notice of the law enforcement authorities by the victim’s wife, Paspati. She registered a police complaint against Pavitri. Paspati further claimed that Pavitri's partner Pappu Bhagat was also involved in the crime. Pavitri allegedly had an affair with Bhagat too.
After receiving the complaint, the police detained Pavitri and began an inquiry into the incident. The investigation officers found that the accused woman was married, but her husband had severed his relations with her as she allegedly had multiple affairs with other men.
Station Officer Kumar said that the accused has lodged a complaint alleging that the victim tried to rape her, but there is no evidence on the matter yet.
Villagers informed the police that the victim saw the lady and Bhagat in an inappropriate position in the fields, and she enticed him, and slashed off his private part with a sharp-edged weapon used for cutting grass, according to the police report, as per Times Now News.
The officer noted that efforts are being made to apprehend Bhagat and that once his arrest is recorded, there would be clarification.
In a similar incident of rage, an Uttar Pradesh man, upset with frequent quarrels with his wife, chopped off his tongue. According to authorities, Mukesh and his wife had an argument a few days earlier about a domestic matter, after which she went to her parent's residence, Times of India reported.
When Mukesh telephoned his wife, requesting her to return to his house, she refused and they quarreled again, leading him to chop his tongue off.
