A 27-year-old woman has reportedly been arrested for beheading his husband with a machete in Ghana on Sunday, Oct. 3 at around 7:30 a.m.
According to reports, the woman was identified as Rachel Tetteh. The incident happened as the 35-year-old man named Lartey Daniel was on his way to a farm with the 27-year-old following him.
At some point, the woman allegedly pushed Daniel to the ground and took his machete. She used this to behead his husband at Tei Glover, a farming Community near Akyem Bosuso in the Fanteakwa South District, Eastern Region of Ghana.
It appears the beheading was a result of an argument between the couple over alleged cheating. Details remain limited.
Upon learning of the heinous act, the Eastern Regional Police Command dispatched personnel to the scene. When they arrived, authorities found the lifeless body of Daniel in ash trousers and a white T-shirt in a pool of blood with the severed head along the footpath of the farm.
Police collected the evidence at the crime scene and examined the beheaded body of Daniel. Tetteh was also taken into custody.
The headless body of the 35-year-old man was deposited at the New Tafo Akim Government Hospital morgue for preservation and autopsy.
"The case is under investigation. Any further developments will be communicated,” according to an official statement from the police.
In related news, a man has been arrested for attempted murder after catching his wife making love to another man.
Reportedly a Kenyan citizen, the man got enraged when he saw the act and reached for his pistol and wanted to shoot the other man. Instead, he fired one shot in the air in an attempt to scare the man away. He successfully with the man scampering from the scene.
After the incident, the man surrendered to local police in Mtwapa, Kilifi County where he was charged with murder. His firearm was also confiscated.
