Prince William and Kate Middleton appeared to snub Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as they shared information about their upcoming United States visit on Wednesday.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will reportedly travel to Boston in early December as William, and the Royal Foundation's global environmental prize will hold its annual awards ceremony. It will be Kate and William's first U.S. tour in eight years as they will host the Earthshot Prize awards. William announced the visit in a short video released on Wednesday, "Boston, we'll see you in December #EarthshotBoston2022."
Royal expert Neil Sean talked about how this visit could help mend the rift between William and Harry. He said on his YouTube channel, "It would be an ideal situation to take the time out to meet. When you think about it, both in the same country and away from prying eyes because it's a little bit easier to get away from the media over there because it's such a vast place."
"You can arrange to meet anywhere but sadly that will not be possible. They're planning a packed schedule with no private time for visits. Very nice and regally put." It seemed that the pair would not have the time to meet Harry and Meghan during their U.S. royal tour as they will be heading to Boston and not to California, where the couple reside with their two kids, Archie and Lilibet.
The expert believed that William still has not moved on from all those allegations that Harry made about him and his family during their bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey. It has also been claimed that William refused to even look at Harry during the Service of Thanksgiving at St Paul's Cathedral during the celebration of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
The pair had minimal exposure despite Harry and Meghan's return to the royal fold for the Queen's Jubilee celebrations. They were also far from the Royal Family members on certain occasions – their relegated seats signaled their status change. Harry and Meghan sat in the second row, behind the Wessex family and Prince Richard and Birgitte — Duke and Duchess of Gloucester.
Royal expert Russell Myers said, "It was very, very frosty inside the church. You could cut the atmosphere with a knife. The brothers didn't lock eyes or make eye contact at all. Harry was craning his neck to look at William and William didn't look back at him." Myers could feel the atmosphere; he believed there would be many more things to put the royal brothers on good terms.
