Prince William and Prince Harry may reconcile this summer, a royal expert claims.
According to Fox News, the royal siblings are set to reunite at the dedication of a monument in remembrance of their mother, Princess Diana, on July 1. She would have been marking her 60th birthday on the day.
Princess Diana died in 1997, at the age of 36, from injuries suffered in a car crash in Paris. William was 15, and Harry was 12 at the time.
Anna Pasternak, who wrote about Diana’s relationship with James Hewitt in her book "Princess in Love," told the news channel that the Princess of Wales' memory would help the brothers reunite. "The greatest hope of reconciliation lies in the memory of their mother," she said.
"That is what will unite them still today. I believe [the brothers] will put their differences aside for [Princess Diana]," she added.
She claimed that healing Harry's friendship with William will take time and patience.
Despite what has been made public, Pasternak also claimed that the brothers and their families are actually in a precarious situation. But, as they prepare to stand shoulder to shoulder in remembrance of their mother, it is clear that the brothers are in urgent need of healing.
According to Pasternak, grudges and hurts seem to be piling up on both sides, expanding rather than reducing the schism between the siblings.
The Duke of Sussex announced a split with his brother during the bombshell interview along with his wife Meghan Markle with Oprah Winfrey earlier this month.
He said the friendship is in "space right now." But he loves his brother and that "time heals all things, hopefully."
"As I've said before, I love William to bits," he said. "He's my brother. We've been through hell together. We have a shared experience, but we were on different paths."
During the televised interview, Harry also revealed that his father, Prince Charles, 72, and William have a strained relationship.
In response to a query from Winfrey, Harry said that he would not have left the royal family if he hadn't married Meghan but that their relationship exposed the royal life's constraints. The royal family appeared to welcome the former "Suits" star into the family after Harry and Markle married in May 2018 at Windsor Castle. The fairy tale, however, didn't last for a long time.
Last year, the pair stepped down from their royal duties and relocated to Canada and then to California, claiming they wished to avoid racist coverage and unwelcome intrusions into their privacy by the British media.
