Why Kate Middleton Is Said To Keep Beatrice And Eugenie ‘At Arm’s Length From Meghan’

Kate Middleton has allegedly never shared the best relationship with cousin-in-law Princess Beatrice. History is laden with multiple instances that are suggestive of some issues between the two, and Kate was reported to have set clear boundaries.

The reported tension between the two can be traced back to a time when Kate joined the royal family in the year 2011. The Duchess of Cambridge has reportedly kept her at an arm’s length ever since.

“Royalty is all about pecking order, often in a cruelly blunt sense,” said a royal insider. “And it is Kate who has all the toys and the position,” the source added.

Things allegedly went from really awkward to worse when Princess Beatrice was firmly warned against inviting her beau Dave Clark to William and Kate’s royal wedding. The reason was simple: his “indiscreet” ways didn’t go well with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge as William observes zero tolerance toward breach of confidence.

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie were rumored to not have the best repute in the royal family. It was once reported that a tense argument ensued among the members of the royal family’s 2018 Easter service at Windsor Castle’s St George’s Chapel. The York sisters were asked to “show some respect” after having allegedly snubbed the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and then disrespected Queen Elizabeth.

Princess Beatrice allegedly felt sidelined due to Kate’s goodwill in the royal family. Despite being young “blood princesses,” both Beatrice and Eugenie paled in comparison when it came to the popularity that Kate enjoyed.

Kate’s growing proximity and participation allegedly caused insecurity in the princesses. One instance cited by reports is when Kate engaged in solo engagements with the Queen during the Diamond Jubilee.

It also seems evident that the princesses are often deprived of royal perks. “Their father sometimes takes up the cudgels on their behalf,” said the source. “For example, when they lost their paid-for royal protection officer.” the source added.

Beatrice’s alleged bitterness toward the Duchess of Cambridge intensified when Kate instigated the break-up of Dave and the princess in 2016. This was also said to be a very emotionally trying phase for Princess Beatrice as she was devastated by the breakup.

While it’s uncertain whether amends will be made soon, if there’s indeed a growing rift between the royals, Kate is said to be aware of how Beatrice and Eugenie can be “troublemakers and is trying to keep them at arm’s length from Meghan,” reported New Idea.
