Jennifer Garner thinks tabloids could ruin her relationship with John Miller. During an interview, the actress said that tabloids tend to scrutinize her private life.
While speaking with CBS “This Morning,” Garner said that the media scrutiny in her private life puts pressure on her to make something happen. Tabloids tend to pressure celebrities in new relationships like hers to get married.
“You feel a pressure to hurry up and get married, ‘cause you think that’ll end the ‘Are they engaged? Are they not?’ And that’s true in reverse, as well,” Garner said. “If there is any inkling of trouble, if the tabloids decide there’s trouble, it can create trouble,” she said.
A source told E! News that Garner and Miller have agreed to keep their relationship as private as possible. Garner and Miller are not interested in having a public romance, and the former usually visits the latter in private places so that the paparazzi couldn’t follow them.
Last fall, Garner and Miller stepped out together to watch the musical “Dear Evan Hansen” in Los Angeles. The couple is also reportedly making holiday plans together, but Ben Affleck’s time with his three children with Garner is the main priority.
During an interview on “Today” last month, Affleck said that Garner remains to be an important part of his and his children’s lives because she is the mother of his kids. “When somebody’s the mother of your kids, they’re going to be the most important central person in your life and that’s good,” he said.
An insider also said that Garner’s main priority is her three children and this will never change regardless of whether she’s dating or not. The “13 Going On 30” actress is also very protective of Violet, Seraphina and Samuel.
Garner and Affleck filed for divorce in 2016, but it was only finalized last year. The couple shares custody of their three children. Months after their split, Affleck started dating “Saturday Night Live” producer Lindsay Shookus.
The “Batman V Superman” star split from Shookus last year amid his battle with alcohol addiction. They got back together after Affleck completed his 40-day stint in rehab.
