A royal author claimed that on Kate Middleton's wedding day, she was left “in tears” due to Prince Harry’s emotional best man speech.

Harry accompanied his brother Prince William's wedding with his then-girlfriend, Chelsy Davy, who reportedly made him remove a line from his speech out of fear it would embarrass his sister-in-law. The April, 29, 2011 royal wedding was viewed by two billion people from across the globe, and Harry helped make it memorable for his brother and Kate with his heartfelt speech, reported Daily Star.

According to Katie Nicholl, who is the author of the 2017 book, "Harry: Life, Loss, and Love," the runaway royal made Kate cry with his speech. She wrote that the speech was "affectionate, warm and funny and touched William deeply." According to the author, when Harry said that the couple’s decade-long romance was his inspiration, there was a "shy smile" from Davy, while Kate "shed a tear."

Nicholl said that the speech was peppered with Harry’s "classic sense of humor, and he ribbed his brother ‘William didn’t have a romantic bone in his body before he met Kate, so I knew it was serious when William suddenly started cooing down the phone at Kate.'" She noted that Harry, who was famous for his mimicry, then impersonated William "calling Kate ‘Babykins’, to much laughter from the guests.” She added that Davy had helped Harry edit the speech, "sensitively advising him to take out a line about Kate’s ‘killer legs’ that might have embarrassed the bride.”

Meanwhile, it is said that William and Kate will shift to Berkshire, England, and start a quiet life there, according to Daily Mail. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been splitting their time between their weekend home Anmer Hall in Norfolk and London home Kensington Palace, and now plan to relocate. They reportedly see Berkshire as "the perfect place" to raise their kids -- Prince George, 8, Princess Charlotte, 6, and Prince Louis, 3.

Us Weekly reported that the couple have been spending more time in Berkshire. A source said that it’s where Kate was raised and "the place they feel most comfortable as a family whenever they go to visit which is a lot more often than people realize." The source added that the country life suits the royals so much better in terms of the "pace and environment, plus it’s not too far from London when they need to commute.”

According to the source, their plan is to "spend plenty more time with the Middletons in Buckleberry, which won’t be far from the new residence William and Kate have earmarked as their new primary residence." The source added that the whole family is "extremely excited and can’t wait.”
