Danielle Bradbery, winner of The Voice Season 4 has had the honor of having her song 'My Day' chosen by NBC to be the theme song to their coverage of the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympic Games. Songwriter Mallory Hope posted the news on her Facebook page: "I am so excited and thankful that my song “My Day” recorded by Danielle Bradbery (winner of the voice) will be the “Theme Song” for the 2014 Winter Olympics. The first commercial will air tonight on NBC during the voice."
Meanwhile, NBC released the following press statement: "NBC Olympics has partnered with the Emmy Award-winning program “The Voice” to create a joint promotional campaign featuring Season Four winner Danielle Bradbery. The campaign, which debuts tonight on “The Voice” at 9 p.m. ET on NBC, is built around Bradbery’s performance of her song “My Day,” which captures the inspirational message of the Olympic Games, and is interspersed with footage of Olympic athletes."
At 16, Danielle Bradbery was the youngest contestant to ever win 'The Voice.' Her debut studio album, "Danielle Bradbery," was released on November 25, 2013, featuring top 20 country hit "The Heart of Dixie". Bradberry first impressed judges with her rendition of Taylor Swift's "Mean." Bradbery cites Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert and Martina McBride as her influences. "It wasn’t meant for me," wrote Mallory Hope. "It wasn’t (yes wait for it) “My Day” it is her day. It is pretty amazing how someone else can help make your dreams come true."
