
The Daytona 500 will begin Sunday, Feb. 24, afternoon at 1:00 pm EST.
The 55th annual "Great American Race" is regarded as the crown of all NASCAR events and race fans can catch all the action on Fox.
For Brad Keselowski, victory at the Daytona 500 is but just his first step in defending is 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series title. Keselowski will start the race on row 8. Last year's winner, Matt Kenseth, is looking for back-to-back wins at Daytona to join rare company, including the likes of Sterling Marlin, who was the last to earn consecutive wins at Daytona in 1994 and 1995.
Finally, the name on everyone's mind is of course the talented Danica Patrick. Patrick is the first woman in history to not only clinch a pole in a Sprint Cup Series race, but she managed to earn this achievement at the Daytona 500, the most competitive venue of them all. Patrick's GoDaddy Chevrolet qualified with the fastest top speed of 196.434 mph, the fastest for more than 20 years.
Patrick will start alongside Jeff Gordon at the front grid. Kevin Harvick, Kyle Busch, and Greg Biffle make up the top 5.
