Wendy's Worker Kills Elderly Man For Complaining About His Food

A Wendy's worker has been accused of brutally punching an elderly man to death after the victim reportedly complained about his food at a Wendy's store in Prescott Valley, Arizona.

Antoine Kendrick, 35, a worker at Wendy's, has been charged with second-degree murder after he allegedly fatally punched a 67-year-old customer for complaining about his food at a Wendy’s restaurant in Prescott Valley near North Glassford Hill Road at 4:41 p.m. on July 26, the Sacramento Bee reported.

CCTV surveillance footage recovered from the store shows the employee initially bringing three drinks up to the counter for the hunched-over elderly customer. However, the elderly man can then be seen starting to point at the beverages while complaining about his order. As the victim continued to grumble about the drinks, he seems completely unaware of Kendrick who began walking toward him from behind the counter.

According to the Prescott Valley Police Department, while the 67-year-old customer complained about his food, Kendrick came from behind the service counter and punched the victim in the head. The elderly man then fell to the floor, striking his head, and losing consciousness, New York Post reported.

Even after seeing the elderly victim unresponsive on the floor, Kendrick reportedly did not offer any aid to the man. Instead, Kendrick gathered his belongings and casually strolled out of the store.

Police officers have not revealed the details of what was said during the disagreement before the vicious attack. Meanwhile, the surveillance video also had no audio.

“Oh, wow that was a pretty hard hit — that was a Mike Tyson hit,” one customer who was at the store at the time of the incident said.

“The customer didn’t touch him, so he had no right to touch the customer, period, end of the story. I just think that’s horrible and wish it didn’t happen. It puts a bad light on our entire society,” another customer added.

The elderly victim, a Dewey resident, was air-lifted to a Valley hospital for immediate treatment where he was admitted in critical condition until he died on Aug. 5

Following the incident, Kendrick was arrested and booked under the charge of aggravated assault. However, after the victim died, his charges have been hiked to second-degree murder.
