Two punks reportedly mugged, punched, and stabbed a 17-year-old teenage customer inside a Bronx deli, then proceeded to steal his sneakers right off of his feet on Sunday, June 13, authorities said. Video footage of the incident has been released online.

The incident happened inside the Decatur Avenue deli near East 195th Street in the Jerome Park neighborhood around Sunday afternoon, reported New York Post.

CCTV footage shows two men punching and kicking the victim, before throwing baking flour and butter at his face, and proceeding to snatched his sneakers. One of the attackers then reportedly grabbed a knife that was in the store’s bodega counter and stabbed the teen in the abdomen.

The assailants fled the scene shortly after. Police have yet to identify the suspects but an investigation is underway, police officials said. The victim was rushed to a hospital and is now in a stable condition.

In a similar but unrelated incident, five men reportedly attacked and robbed a man of his sneakers in New York in July 2020.

On July 15, 2020, the 19-year-old victim reportedly took to Snapchat to sell a pair of pricey Yeezy sneakers. The teen had arranged to meet the buyer at 48-06 46th Street in the Woodside section of Queens.

However, when he reached the spot, he was reportedly surrounded by seven young men who then punched and stabbed him, before pocketing $200 from his wallet and stealing the Nike Raptors sneakers he was wearing, reported Fox 5 New York.

Emergency Medical Services (EMS) immediately rushed the victim to Elmhurst Hospital Center. The victim had not arrived with the Yeezy shoes that he was planning to sell so they were not stolen.

In another incident, a Marlborough man and two others reportedly robbed two Medway men of three pairs of sneakers in January 2021, including a pair of Travis Scott Air Force Ones that carry a retail value of $2,400.

On Jan 21, the two victims reportedly agreed to meet a buyer at the Royal Crest Apartments off Hosmer Street in Marlborough to sell some rare sneakers. The victims had contacted the buyer through Snapchat. The sneakers were Travis Scott Air Force Ones worth $2,500, Jordan Space Jams worth $340, and Yeezy Belugas worth $370, the MetroWest Daily News reported.

When the victims opened their car trunk to show the sneakers, one of them was reportedly punched in the face. The other suspects then emerged from their vehicle pointing a firearm at them. One suspect then removed the sneakers from their car immediately fled the area, police spokesman Sergeant Zachary Attaway said.

The entire incident was captured on the dashcam of the victims' car. The video was handed over to the police along with the Snapchat username of the person with whom they were communicating.

Lucca Drummond, 18, later reportedly turned himself into the Marlborough Police Department in connection with the case and was charged with two counts of armed robbery, armed assault to rob, assault with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit a crime, larceny of property worth more than $1,200, and conspiracy to commit a crime.
