We are already almost halfway through the ninth and final season of "How I Met Your Mother" things are coming together for Barney and Robin's wedding weekend. In tonight's all-new episode Barney's father has finally made it to the New York for the wedding but trouble is sure to follow. The official description for tonight's episode, "Mom and Dad," reads: Barney's father Jerome arrives and wants to see him back together with his mother, but James has other ideas. Meanwhile, an important wedding-related duty is messed up and Ted is blamed.
With the show ending fans have been yearning to finally meet the mother! Despite last week's episode, "Platonish," when Barney met the mother (Cristin Milioti) while completing challenges assigned by Lily and Robin, she has not been in many episodes. We think it's about time she make a bigger appearance seeing how this is the final season and all. Meanwhile CBS has announced that creator Carter Bays will be writing a pilot for a spin off titled "How I Met Your Dad," which is essentially the same concept as his current show just from the perspective of a woman.
