A man is facing murder charges in connection with the disappearance of a 24-year-old woman after he reportedly Googled "how to be a serial killer" before allegedly killing the missing victim, whose body has yet to be located.

Chukwuebuka Nwobodo, 28, is wanted for murder and tampering with evidence after allegedly killing and dismembering a 24-year-old missing woman, Felicia Johnson, last seen alive on April 16.

On April 16, Johnson reportedly left a hotel in Houston's Medical Center after Nwobodo ordered an Uber ride for the victim after seeing her post an advertisement on an escort website. The suspect then allegedly picked up Johnson at an apartment complex in the 3200 block of Windchase Boulevard, the address of an apartment from which he recently moved out.

Nwobodo then reportedly took Johnson to his current residence on South Richmond Avenue and killed her before disposing of her phone. Investigating officers speculate that Nwobodo disposed of Johnson's body a few days after the murder, Law & Crime reported.

After not hearing from the victim for quite some time, Johnson’s worried family members reached out to Texas authorities. Johnson’s blood-splattered cellphone was subsequently discovered off a roadway in Bear Creek Pioneers Parks near Highway 6 and Clay Road.

Cops were later able to track down Nwobodo by investigating the Uber ride that Johnson took on the night of her disappearance. After the authorities issued a search warrant at the suspect's Richmond Avenue apartment, law enforcement found apparent blood stains throughout the residence, including the hallway floor just outside the bathroom, and throughout the bedroom. When a DNA test was conducted, the results showed a match to Johnson’s DNA profile, KHOU 11 News reported.

The officers also found various suspicious items in Nwobodo’s silver Honda Accord, including a 9mm handgun, receipts for items he possibly used in the clean-up of the crime scene, multiple loose latex gloves, a large kitchen knife, and a shovel.

According to investigating officers, on April 16 and April 17, Nwobodo was seen on surveillance footage at a Walmart store purchasing items including a mechanical saw, trash bags, towels, and a flashlight. It was also found that he made a series of suspicious Google searches in the days following the murder including searches such as “does bleach denature blood,” “can bleach destroy DNA?” “does vinegar destroy blood DNA,” and “how to delete your history completely.”

Later, on April 28, he was found to have searched “how to be a serial killer,” “how to get away with murder,” and “how to kill without getting caught” via Google.

Nwobodo also allegedly searched whether police can check phone records of a missing person.

After Nwobodo was taken into custody at a traffic stop on May 13, police claimed to have found “a photograph of a deceased dismembered female” and three photos of dead people on Nwobodo’s phone. However, the individuals in the photos were not immediately identified and no metadata was associated with them. Nwobodo had initially been released without being charged.

Anyone with information on Nwobodo’s current whereabouts, or this case, is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at (713) 308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at (713) 222-8477.
