The Hemet police are on the lookout for an irate customer, who allegedly turned violent at a Jersey Mike’s Subs in Southern California on Sunday after a staffer got her order wrong. The incident occurred at around 7:30 p.m. in Hemet, 85 miles east of Los Angeles, when a young woman who claimed to be minor, stormed into the outlet and began to misbehave as a result of being dissatisfied.
“We've come to a lull in trying to identifying the actual person in that video,” said the Hemet police Lt. Michael Arellano to Fox News. “She wasn't happy with her order is what it sounds like,” added Officer Arellano.
The entire episode was captured on video— which eventually made its way to social media— captured how curt the woman was, all through. From denying to tell her name, to throwing potato chip bags at the teenager before hurling napkins as well as taking a tip jar, things went awry in no time.
The unidentified lady also seemed to threaten the staff for compensation for all that happened! “Oh no, you're going to compensate me what you owe me,” said the woman before lobbing the snacks, as reported by the outlet.
And, in what seemed to be an end to a rather stressful episode at the store, the lady allegedly grabbed a bottled drink and jolted another employee who attempted to block the exit.
The Hemet police have urged people to come forward if they were to get any relevant information pertaining to the incident, as a further probe is underway.
Assaults of fast-food joint staff have seen a gnawing uptick. Not too long ago, a Dunkin' Donuts employee, as reported by WHDH, was subjected to humiliation and attacks by a customer owing to a glitch in her order. The suspect is yet to be nabbed by the Woburn, MA Police Department but the cops have implored the public to come forward if they chanced upon anything substantial in regards to the incident.
The teen staffer Emma Dionne was reportedly petrified after the incident occurred, and is contemplating whether she’d want to return to work at all.
