With Season 6 of "The Voice" right around the corner, fans are excited with the return of this different, innovative competition show. Shakira and Usher return as coaches, along with Blake Shelton and reigning champion Adam Levine, who took the crown last season with Jamaican native Tessanne Chin. Fans will get to enjoy Blake and Adam’s constant bickering about who has more wins, or who will actually win this season. With them being the only two to have one the show multiple times, Shakira and Usher will have difficult competition. Usher already knows what it feels like to have someone compete in the finals, when Michelle Chamuel competed in the finale in Season 4 but lost to Danielle Bradbery.
"The Voice" is a different type of competition show, like no other one out there. Instead of standing in front of judges that are watching what is happening on the stage, the contestant is judged by what the coaches hear, not being able to judge on appearance. If they like what they hear, they press their button and the chair turns. If only one chair turns, that will automatically be the contestant’s coach. If more than one coach presses their button, they get to lure the contestant to be a part of their team. They all have different ways of convincing a contestant to join their team. When it comes to Blake, he uses the fact that he has won the competition three times, and that he is the obvious choice if the contestant wants to be a country artist, while Adam is a beggar. He begs the contestants to be on his team. Usher is more of a suave kind of guy using his smile and charm and Shakira knows how to use the fact that she is the only woman in the panel in her favor.
The fans will experience the same excitement they have experienced in past seasons because after the blind auditions come the battle rounds, then the live shows and then after that America gets to decide who stays and who goes. Steals are always fun, seeing who is worth staying and who will make great additions to other teams. Tune into Season 6 of "The Voice" premiering Monday, Feb. 24 on NBC at 8/7c p.m.
