Reports say ABC's "The View" might be getting a Latino flavor soon.

Since Joy Behar announced her leaving the talk show, bets have been going around the cyberspace about who will replace the veteran host. Brooke Shields' name resonated for a bit, but word is out that ABC is looking for a feisty, conservative Latina to join the table.

Even though ABC has not confirmed it yet, the high ratings of the show combined with the increasing number of Latinos in the U.S. make this piece of news very plausible. The idea would be to have somebody with similar views to Elisabeth Hasselbeck, while adding diversity to the outspoken lady team.

So who would be bringing the passion in the next season of "The View"? Here are our frontrunners:

1. Rachel Campos-Duffy

Ardent Republican and "Real World" alum, the 41-year-old already tried out for "The View" when they were looking to replace Lisa Ling. She is a devoted Catholic stay-at-home-mother-of-six and is married to Sean Duffy, a Republican congressman in Wisconsin.

2. Jaci Velasquez

As a 90s hit Cuban-American singer, Velasquez is used to topping the charts and navigating between two cultures. A passionate Catholic and mother of two, she released an album in 2012 inspired by her religious faith and is currently co-hosting "Family Friendly Morning Show."

3. Gloria Estefan

A fellow Cuban singer, Estefan is well known in the music and showbiz circles. She is in the top 100 bestselling music artists in the world, and the most successful crossover performer in Latin music to date. Formerly a fundraiser for the Obama campaign, the star changed gears last year when she expressed interest in GOP candidate Herman Cain, saying that his message was "common sense."

4. Raquel Welch

The actress, whose father was Bolivian, has always been very outspoken about her political beliefs. She claims she prefers action to words, recalling a trip to Vietnam with Bob Hope to visit the troops back in 1967. Welch has voiced in many an occasion how her looks have hindered her political views.

5. DeeDee Garcia Blasé

A conservative Latina activist, founder of the organization Somos Republicans, this fifth-generation Mexican American from Texas served in the Air Force under Bush's father in the 90s, and is a "diehard" supporter of gun rights. Besides her conservative economic views, Garcia Blasé gives most of her attention to immigration reform -- the ultimate reason why she became disillusioned with the Republican party and registered as an Independent in 2011.
