"Vampire Diaries" returns tonight for episode 4, "For Whom The Bell Tolls" and the Delena drama is just getting good! Well, lets back track a bit because the latest problem for the couple comes from something everyone has dealt with, an ex. Stefan is back, but his memory is not, thanks to Qetsiyah. Meaning that Damon will need to provide him with some serious schooling, but the sneaky older brother intentional leaves out one large portion of his life-Elena.
In a recently released promo video the Salvatore brothers are enjoying a few rounds of shots while taking a long trip down memory lane. "And here I thought catching up on nearly two centuries would be a drag," Elena tells the Salvatore brothers when she enters the Mystic Falls Grill. Stefan, still memory less, and ask his former girlfriend, "Remind me of your name, again?" It appears Damon does not want Stefan to remember the romantic connection that he has with Elena even though she eventually chose Damon in the Season 4 finale. Elena quickly realizes her current boyfriends betrayal, "You haven't told him about me?" she questions Damon. "Two hundred years is a long time," he responds.
According to Wetpaint, this will not be the only interaction the former couple has in episode 4, Stefan and Elena will bond further when they take "a romantic walk by the lake," the audience will realize that even though Stefan has no memory of Elena, he is still intensely drawn to her. The "For Whom The Bell Tolls" synopsis hints at even more trouble for Delena; when Elena goes on her own emotional experience, while helping Stefan regain his memory.
