Following a fire fight between Massachusetts police officers and the two suspects believed to be behind the Boston Marathon bombings, Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick on Friday ordered all residents to remain inside their homes while a manhunt continues to locate one of the suspects.

That suspect is 19-year-old Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev, who immigrated to the United States with his older brother Tamerlan Tsarnaev, also one of the bombing suspects. Tamerlan Tsarnaev was killed following the exchange of gunfire with police late Thursday evening while his brother Dzhokhar escaped on foot and is still at large.

With residents around the Boston area forced to remain at home, the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth closed its campus Friday morning after learning that the 19-year-old Tsarnaev is a registered student at the university, according to the South Coast Today.

It is reported that Tsarnaev lived on campus at the Pine Dale dorm, an area now completely sealed off in the wake of the manhunt. "We are closing the campus ,and we are evacuating Pine Dale dormitory," university spokesman John Hoey said. "We're trying to put together the pieces."

Reports from the Associated Press confirm that Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev has been living in Cambridge, Massachusetts and has called the United States home for at least a year.

Considered a relatively quiet individual while at UMass Dartmouth, Tsarnaev very seldom opened up to others. "When we had hall meetings, he didn't make any commentary," Alyssa Eklind, a former suite mate of Tsarnaev said about the suspect.

According to a report by Deadspin.com, Dzhokhar graduated Cambridge Ridge and Latin School in 2011. While a student, he was on the wrestling team and was even rewarded a $2,500 scholarship from the city of Cambridge his senior year.

An interview done by BuzzFeed with one of his former classmates shows that up until recently, Tsarnaev was a normal college student.

"As recently as November I played pickup basketball with him and he seemed like he was doing great at UMASS Dartmouth," the student said. "I don't know what changed since then but evidently it was something pretty big."

Something big indeed as Tsarnaev and his older, now deceased brother Tamerlan are the FBI's top 2 suspects related to the bombings at the Boston Marathon earlier this week.

Speaking with the Associated Press on Friday, the suspects father didn't expect this type of action from the younger Dzhokhar.

"My son is a true angel," he said. Dzhokhar is a second-year medical student in the U.S. He is such an intelligent boy. We expected him to come on holidays here."

While the city of Boston and its citizens recover from the devastation caused by the bombings, the manhunt continues for Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev, the second of two suspects believed to be connected to the bombings.

It's only a matter of time before law enforcement finds the 19-year-old and brings him to justice.
