Following news about their reconciliation, a new report claims that Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston are working together again. A tabloid reported earlier this week that the exes had met at the Sony Pictures studio in Los Angeles to discuss their reunion on the big screen. This report is not true.
All the projects previously lined up for Pitt and Aniston were shelved because of their divorce. Although the two are reportedly on speaking terms again following Pitt’s split with Angelina Jolie, representatives of Pitt and Aniston have denied claims that they are collaborating on a future project.
The bogus report that surfaced earlier this week claimed that a supposed source had witnessed Pitt and Aniston together at the Sony Pictures studio, where they stayed for three hours. “They had a lot of things in the pipeline at the time of their divorce. Both of them were upset to put those projects aside at the time,” the unidentified insider supposedly said.
According to the report, Pitt and Aniston are planning to executive produce a project together, believing that if they release a movie as executive producers, it would be an “absolute sensation.” “They’ve always been a great foil for each other professionally, and now they both see their long-term futures behind the camera as directors and executive producers,” the tabloid quoted the phony source.
To verify the report, Gossip Cop reached out to Pitt’s and Aniston’s reps, and both confirmed that the tabloid report was fabricated. Aniston’s representative also denied that a meeting took place between the two in Los Angeles.
False reports about Aniston and Pitt started making the rounds online after the Brangelina split. Last year, Gossip Cop also discredited one magazine’s story claiming that the exes were re-teaming as business partners. The absurd story claimed that a source close to the two had confirmed that Pitt and Aniston were merging their business interests again, which they did in 2001, when they established the production company Plan B. It has been a year since Gossip Cop initially debunked the story, but the magazine still fails to hold up.
