Thanks to a video posted by White House Deputy Chief of Staff Dan Scavino on his X social media account, internet users were able to see that a framed image of President Donald Trump's mug shot decorates a hallway outside the Oval Office.
Wishing his followers a happy Valentine's Day, Scavino posted the video on Feb. 14 during a meeting Trump had the day prior with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

"Welcome to the beautiful Oval Office," said Scavino in all caps. The video begins by showing a New York Post front page featuring Trump's mug shot from when he was booked into the Fulton County Jail in Georgia in 2023. The framed picture is one of the latest redecorations since Trump moved back to the White House in January.
Trump was indicted four times in 2023, with two of them being dismissed since. One ended up at trial—in New York in July 2024 he was found guilty on 34 counts of falsifying business records in a case revolving around hush money payments to porn actress Stormy Daniels.
Two of the other cases have been dismissed, with the Fulton County case the only one outstanding.
In 2023, he surrendered at the Fulton County Jail in Georgia after he was charged in connection with attempts to overturn 2020 election results and laws in the state, thus creating the famous mug shot.
During his presidential campaign, his team used it in fundraising emails, merchandise and even on digital trading cards. Trump and his supporters see the picture as a symbol of his outsider status and as emblematic of his claims that he was politically targeted, as reported by The Hill.
"Did you like my mug shot?" Trump asked cheering supporters at a campaign rally in August 2024.
"It's the No. 1 selling mug shot in history! It beat Elvis—and it beat Frank Sinatra. Did you know that?" he said. "I'm proud to admit and I'm proud to tell you: You have made mine bigger than both of them—by a lot," he said.
