President Donald Trump announced that he'd like to release reports related to the assassination attempts against him, revealing that he expects to receive the documents sometime next week.

Responding to a reporter who asked why we don't know more about the men who attempted to assassinate him on the 2024 campaign trail, Trump noted a series of facts that elicited more questions than answers. Trump said one of the would-be assassins had "foreign apps," and was affiliated with a "white shoe law firm." The other assailant reportedly had six cell phones, some with "strange markings."

"I would be willing to release it," Trump said of the report. "Maybe there's a reason we shouldn't, so I don't want to get too far ahead of my skis, but I would be very willing to release that. I'd like to see it myself."

Despite Trump's apparent willingness to share the information as it becomes available, social media users expressed doubt, drawing comparisons to past promises of transparency that never fully materialized, including the still-unreleased Epstein client list and the long-awaited JFK assassination files.

"How many of you think it will actually be released?" one user asked. "I'm not so sure. They don't have a good record of releasing this stuff."

Another quipped, "Will those be redacted too?! 🙄" referencing heavily censored government disclosures.

Skepticism ran deep among even Trump supporters, with one writing, "Yeah, they'll 'release it' I'm sure 😂 I love Trump but enough with the release bulls**t. We. Are. Tired!" Others speculated that the announcement was more of a political distraction than a sincere effort to provide answers.

"Hopefully this doesn't get Epsteined," another user Tweeted.

With Trump teasing yet another high-profile disclosure, many are left wondering whether this report will actually see the light of day—or if it will simply join the growing list of long-promised but never-delivered documents.
