Trump 'Can't Believe' He Called Zelensky a Dictator as Internet Goes Wild: 'Sleepy Donald Incoming'

President Trump is the target of a barrage of mocking comments from social media users after forgetting that he called Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenksy "a dictator" during a meeting with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

"Dementia is kicking in already. Sleepy Donald incoming very soon," wrote one user, mocking the President's old age.

On Thursday, Trump met with Starmer in the White House, during which a reporter asked the President if he still believed Zelensky was a dictator.

"Did I say that? I can't believe I said that," Trump responded.

The internet has responded by echoing past criticisms surrounding Trump's age, indicating that his descent into old age makes him unfit to serve as President.

"Is this dementia or is he betting on his followers being dumb enough to fall for more of his blatant lies?" wrote one user.

"Alzheimmers Has Kicked In...." wrote another.

"I'll just put this here. For no specific reason," wrote a third user in a post accompanied by a screenshot of a Google search of dementia.

These are the same types of jokes Trump has long-since made about former President Joe Biden, ramping up this sentiment while running against Biden before the 2024 presidential election.

"Welcome to the race Sleepy Joe. I only hope you have the intelligence, long in doubt, to wage a successful primary campaign. It will be nasty - you will be dealing with people who truly have some very sick & demented ideas. But if you make it, I will see you at the Starting Gate!" Trump posted to Twitter in 2019.

In 2024, he encouraged "Sleepy Joe" to "continue his campaign of American Destruction and, MAKE CHINA GREAT AGAIN!" on Truth Social.

Furthermore, Trump referred to President Zelensky as a dictator less than two weeks ago, taking to Truth Social to levy the accusation.

"A Dictator without Elections, Zelensky better move fast or he is not going to have a Country left," Trump wrote. "In the meantime, we are successfully negotiating an end to the War with Russia, something all admit only 'TRUMP,' and the Trump Administration, can do."

Zelensky then pushed back against the label while speaking to journalists in Kyiv.

"Unfortunately, President Trump – I have great respect for him as a leader of a nation that we have great respect for, the American people who always support us – unfortunately lives in this disinformation space," he said.
