Since the "True Blood" season six finale, "Radioactive," fans have been debating what happened to the hunky-vamp Eric and will he return for season seven. Well showrunner, Brian Buckner, has come out to clarify Alexander Skarsgard's character and reveal his fate. Speaking with TV Line Buckner revealed that Eric will indeed be around for season seven as a regular character saying, ""I can tell you that Alexander Skarsgard is going to be a part of the next season of True Blood. He will be a series regular."

While we don't know exactly how many episodes Alexander Skarsgard will be in Buckner teases that perhaps Eric's progeny Pam will be the one to find him after his accident saying, ""Pam has gone off in search of Eric, and maybe she's going to be the one to find him, y'know?" Buckner also revealed how easy it was to get Skarsgard to lose all his clothes for the scene. Buckner says there wasn't a conversation about it he just asked Skarsgard if he'd do it and he agreed adding, "He knew the gift he was giving everybody."

Buckner addressed the sudden switch of romance between Sookie and Alicide saying, "We all felt the same thing that the audience was feeling, which was that Alcide needed to come back to center." Not only will this relationship end the loop of vamp relationships with Sookie it will also tie in the werewolves with the rest of the storyline.

Buckner also debunked the theory that Tara's mom, Lettie Mae, was trying to poison her daughter saying, "Lettie Mae was tricking her daughter by offering her blood. Buckner quickly shot down that theory, "This idea that Lettie Mae is trying to poison Tara? It's absurd. That is genuine."

As for season seven Buckner teases what some of the storyline will be about, particularly in Bills case. The goal for season seven is to see if Bill can be forgiven for his actions in season six as Billith. He also wants to prove that the character can actually change.
