See Optimus Prime and the Autobots like you've never seen them before when "Transformers 4: Age of Extinction" hits theaters on June 27. In a newly relesed trailer, Director Michael Bay introduces us to the latest weapon in his epic film-making arsenal-- a fully integrated dual 65mm 4K large-format IMAX 3D digital camera.
"Transformers 4" takes place four years from where "Transformers 3" left off. According to the brief plot summary from IMDB, Earth is still recovering from the great war between the Autobots and the Decepticons. Many of the Transformers that remained on Earth have been apprehended or killed. Now, mankind has learned to use the alien technology and have started to build Transformer robots of their own, believing that the planet is safe at last.
Mark Wahlberg is the star of "Transformers 4," and plays the role of Cade Yeager, a struggling inventor that discovers a rusty old truck that is none other than Optimus Prime. A paranoid government goes ofter Cade and Optimus, but the Autobots have bigger things to worry about when they learn of the Decepticons' plot to completely annihiliate Earth. Joined by Cade Yeager, the Autobots align with the long-forgotten Dinobots to defend the planet from the evil Decepticons.
A fan-made Transformers 4 video has also been released earlier this week. Kevin B. Lee composed a massive 25-minute video titled "Transformers: The Premake," which documents the mountain of production shots taken from amateur footage in the United States and China.
"'Transformers: Age of Exinction,' the fourth installment of the Transformers movie franchise directed by Michael Bay, will be released June 27 2014," Lee described in his official site. "But on YouTube one can already access an immense trove of production footage recorded by amateurs in locations where the film was shot, such as Utah, Texas, Detroit, Chicago, Hong Kong and mainland China. 'Transformers: the Premake' turns 355 YouTube videos into a critical investigation of the global big budget film industry, amateur video making, and the political economy of images."
