Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador on Wednesday vehemently rejected claims that drug traffickers helped to fund his first presidential campaign in 2006, describing the allegations as "completely false."

More than $5.2 million was cut in funding for higher education across Texas including the Office of International Affairs at Prairie View A&M University, the University of Houston's School of Public Affairs and Texas A&M International University's Petroleum Engineering program.
