NYC Unveils Pilot Program To Give Legal Defense To Detained Immigrants Facing Deportation

On Wednesday, New York City rolled out the nation’s first publicly-funded legal defense project for detained immigrants facing deportation. Organizers say the pilot program, which saw its funding approved in June by the City Council, might inspire similar projects across the country aimed at a group which almost never wins their cases when they have to go at it alone.

Supreme Court Weighs Expanded Warnings on Deportation Risk
