Hispanic women are also more likely to be diagnosed at more advanced stages of the disease and are about 30 percent more likely to die from it than their non-Hispanic white counterparts.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month begins today on October 1st and will continue for the entire month. The purpose of the month is to raise awareness of the disease that affects so many women. In celebration of the month, Latin Times has collected 10 quotes to raise awareness and hop or the victims of breast cancer.
