As many of you are aware, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and many countries outside the United States are participating. In addition to the NFL, which will sport pink armbands, shoes, helmets, and other accessories, Mexico’s Liga MX, will participate in what they call “Mes Rosa” or “Pink Month” for the 8th consecutive year.
Atlas, Santos Laguna and Monterrey will all wear pink jerseys this month while León will wear their pink secondary team jerseys both at home and away throughout the month of October. In addition to the participating clubs, team captains across the league will be wearing pink Captain’s armbands. The ball, and referee uniforms will also be pink during October.
The Monterrey Rayados are taking the campaign a step further as they have started #ProjectPink in order to help raise money for breast cancer as well. They will wear specialty pink jerseys provided by Puma as they take on León, Tijuana, América, Tigres and Morelia in the month of October. Take a look at the pictures of the jerseys below and tell us what you think of the new uniform colors.
