Top Gear Season 20 Episode 2 airs Sunday, July 7, at 8 p.m. GMT on BBC2.
Last week, Jeremy Clarkson promised to slow down a little and grow up a lot for a new, more mature, season 20 of Top Gear. However, that promise lasted only about 10 seconds into the first episode before Jeremy Clarkson set out in a rental car, the "fastest" car in the world, to race James May, in a racing sailboat, across the New Zealand coast.
This week, Top Gear Season 20 Episode 2 kicks off with the stunning Ferrari F12 Berlinatta, the most powerful GT the Italian supercar company has ever created. Did you notice that the Ferrari jumps a crest when you watched the Top Gear Season 20 teaser?
Meanwhile, Richard Hammond is tasked with figuring out, once and for all, what is the world's best taxi. As per usual, Top Gear conducts its standardized challenges, which usually involve motorsports mixed with hilarity and mayhem.
James May plays the voice of reason among the presenters as he takes an opportunity to pay tribute to the closed BBC Television Centre in White City, London. We are not sure why there is a need for a stunt motorcycle rider and a pair of parkour freerunners in this segment.
Finally, Jeremy Clarkson test drive's the hardcore BAC Mono. A track weapon in the same vein as the Ariel Atom and the KTM X-Bow, the BAC Mono will be properly piloted around the Top Gear test track in the cold hands of the Stig.
Finally, highly acclaimed film director Ron Howard is this week's star in the nearly revealed reasonably priced car. We hope to learn more information about "RUSH," Howards latest movie that depicts the glamour of 1970's Formula 1 and the rivalry between James Hunt and Niki Lauda.
