Top Gear Season 19 Episode 6 airs Sunday, March 10, at 8 p.m. GMT on BBC2.
Last week, the Top Gear trio set out for a very special adventure across Central Africa in search of the very source of the Nile River. For their tools of choice, Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May each brought their own station wagon. Clarkson arrived to the first checkpoint with a BMW 5-Series Touring, Hammond presented his "World Rally Blue" Subaru Impreza WRX hatchback, and May arrived in the quintessential estate, a Volvo 850R Wagon.
Minutes into episode 6, Clarkson stopped before Lake Victoria, what was thought to be the source of the Nile for centuries. Of course, a Top Gear Challenge special can never be that simple. According to scientists, the River Nile spans across more than 4,000 miles of Africa. The true source of the Nile has yet to be known and is believed to lie somewhere between the nation of Rwanda and Burundi. Now, it is up to the trio to find the true source, a truly epic adventure of historic significance.
For Top Gear Season 19 episode 7, the search for the source continues as Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May travel through Tanzania, Lake Victoria, Uganda, South sudan, Rwanda, and Barundi.
Be sure to catch Top Gear Season 19 Episode 6, the first of a two-part episode, on Sunday, March 3 at 8pm GMT on BBC2.
