Top Gear Season 19 episode 5 takes off where episode 4 ends -- sort of.
In episode 4, Jeremy Clarkson and James May buckled up into the new Kia Cee'd to represent young professional athletes performing at their prime. With the help of an official-sized "Top Gear Rugby" ball, two teams, silver versus grey, of Kia cars trashed the game field as the both sides viciously battled until the very last moments of the last half -- Clarkson's last-minute conversion saved his team from what could have been a major upset by Captain Slow.
For Top Gear Season 19 episode 5, the three presenters will not do anything nearly as physical as contact sport. Instead, Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond will try to solve the inherent limitations senior citizens must face when operating a vehicle. On a mission to design a vehicle specifically for our elderly, episode 5 will follow Jeremy and Richard in an ambitious engineering project to design an all-new car before evaluating the vehicle in Dorset with the help of a focus groupe made up of three pleasant grandmothers.
This season will also feature the test on the latest Land Rover Range Rover. In typical Top Gear fashion, the road test will involve a race against an autonomous military machine in Nevada.
Finally, this episode's Star In A Reasonably Priced Car is a young Professor Charles Xavier of X-Men: First Class, Mr. James McAvoy.
Once again, Top Gear airs Sunday, February 24 on BBC2 at 8pm GMT.
