The 2014 Tony Awards is full of glitz and glamour as it's Broadway's biggest night honoring the best in theatre. Broadcasting live from New York City's Radio City Music Hall, was Hugh Jackman who returned as host for the fourth time. Music legends like Patti LaBelle, Gladys Knight and Fantasia took the stage for an amazing performance with the cast of "After Midnight." Another big surprise was seeing Sting on stage performing a song from his upcoming musical "The Last Ship." Presenters of the night included Gloria Estefan, Emilio Estefan, Carole King, Bradley Cooper, Kevin Bacon, Will Ferrell, Clint Eastwood, Tina Fey, Jennifer Hudson, Orlando Bloom, Patrick Wilson, Rosie O'Donnell and Samuel L. Jackson. Three Latinos were nominated for the acclaimed accolade for their creative work like Isabel Toledo, Nick Cordero and Danny Burstein.
The coveted spinning trophy had Isabel Toledo nominated in the Best Costume Design of a Musical category for her work in "After Midnight," Nick Cordero and Danny Burstein in the Best Performance By An Actor In A Featured Role In A Musical category for "Bullets Over Broadway" and "Cabaret" respectively. Idina Menzel gave a strong performance during the award show, and got a number from the "Aladdin" production as well. The emotions were high, but unfortunately neither Cordero nor Burstein won their category, being beat out by James Monroe Iglehart for "Aladdin." Bryan Cranston won Leading Actor In A Play for "All The Way," which is his Broadway debut playing Lyndon B. Johnson. Check out all the winners down below!
