"Good evening! It's so nice to be back home and you all look stunning. I have to say this now: you look incredible from my point of view." Those were the words Tommy Torres used to start his first tour, "12 Historias," after four years away from the big stages.

His home country of Puerto Rico was the chosen destination to begin the great display of feelings and emotions in each one of the 24 songs he performed in a night where love was overflowing and nothing but positive energy was felt in the Puerto Rico Coliseum.

From the stage to the awesome musicians that delighted the crowd, the whole night was impeccable. The repertoire included a perfect balance between his new songs and his beloved hits like "Mar Adentro," "Imparable," "De Rodillas," "Nunca Imaginé," "Querido Tommy," "Tarde o Temprano" and "Como Olvidar", songs that closed the 2-and-a half hour show.

One of the highlights of the night was when Torres invited baseball player Carlos Delgado -- who was in the audience -- to the stage and demanded to know what he had done with his song "Querido Tommy" in a T-Mobile commercial where Delgado appears "butchering" the song.

Nevertheless, the moment was very affable and the ball player even apologized for his bad singing. "First of all, I want to apologize for destroying your song, and I want to publicly say: Dear Tommy, romance, as you said, it's a chess game, and it's really hard for me. So I'll leave it to the experts to sing about it. Thank you, and good night!"

Another surprising moment delighted the fans when Willy Rodríguez, Cultura Profética's front man, joined Tommy Torres on stage and performed the hit "Mientras Tanto". "Many of you might not know it, but Willy is my first cousin" shared Torres before hugging his cousin in a very well received display of affection.

Not only did Tommy sing his well-known songs, but he also reminded the audience he was the master mind behind other artist's hits and performed songs like "Ya no duele," "Una vida sin ti," "Palabras," "Corre," "Pegate" and "Tu Recuerdo," that he wrote for Alejandro Sanz, Black Guayaba, Ednita Nazario, Jesse y Joy and Ricky Martin.

Torres, one of the most recognized and awarded songwriters of the 2000s, has also made it as a singer with a combination of his signature manly yet sweet voice and his prodigious writing skills, mixing the perfect words to make anyone fall in love after listening to his music.
