The pandemic might have ruined our summer plans, but the latest trailer of "Gossip Girl" has got the fans sweaty with seductive and steamy scenes.
The trailer released on Wednesday has left the fans waiting to twirl their pearls, and clutch their Chanel bags. Those who have seen the new HBO Max show say it has a number of sequences that are described as erotic fiction by those who have seen it, Page Six reported.
In one of the episodes, Audrey Hope, played by Emily Alyn Lind, is being seduced by a fellow high-school student in the middle of a club they've snuck into while staring at another boy she's interested in.
Former Disney actor Thomas Doherty, who plays Max Wolfe, is seen making out with a female while simultaneously being felt up by a boy in another scene. The episodes also show multiple sensuous scenes at male bathhouses. This season of "Gossip Girl" is revamped Victorian romance, with threesomes, bathhouses, and an added dose of pleasure.
Unlike the former casting, which included all-white actors, the new cast is diverse. The new "Gossip Girl" trailer unveils the lives of Manhattan's affluent teens, alongside a whole lot of drama. The full-length trailer arrived just hours after "Gossip Girl" herself posted a teaser, "Did you miss me?" I know how much I've missed you.”
After being dormant for several years, "Gossip Girl" resurfaces in their lives all of a sudden. Gossip Girl has evolved into an anonymous Instagram account that monitors students. In the trailer's final moments, Max remarks to Audrey that something is different but adds that it is different in the best way possible.
The plot of the new series is set in the Upper East Side and follows a fresh cohort of New York private school teenagers who are introduced to social surveillance nine years after the original blogger's website was shut down. The show will look at how social media — as well as the environment of New York — has altered during the time "Gossip Girl" was off the air.
“You've become so comfortable thinking you're in control of your image, your actions, the narrative... that you forget one thing,” Gossip Girl has said in the first teaser, which was released in May 2021. " You are visible to me. And before I'm through, I'll make sure you see it as well,” she added.
Kristen Bell, the show's famed narrator, also popularly called the Gossip Girl, returns in the sequel season. She is the only original cast member who will reprise her role in the new series. "Gossip Girl" aired from 2007 until 2012 and is now back after 9 years.
