Thalía has announced her return to television, but it's not in a telenovela as many hoped it was. The 42-year-old singer and actress revealed that HBO Latino will be airing a concert special from her "Thalía Viva Tour." The presentation was filmed back in April 2013 at the Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City and included hit songs from "Primera Fila" and "Hábitame Siempre." During the event the "María La Del Barrio" star also had collaborations with María José, Leonel García, Reik's Jesús Navarro and Camila's Samo. The special follows Beyonce's footsteps in airing a concert on the premium cable channel and this particular one is part of the HBO Latino Concerts that have included artists like Romeo Santos and Carlos Santana. "Thalía Viva Tour En Vivo Desde México" will air on Friday, September 5 on HBO Latino and HBO On Demand.
Thalí made the grand announcement during a Twitter Party and answered questions from fans on the social network. The artist talked about why she loves going back to her home country. "Returning to México for a concert is always and will be my favorite," she said. "To see my people, the audience that gave me my first opportunity, to eat tacos and to listen to a good mariachi doesn't have a price." Although the "Equivocada" singer has only been back to México publicly for a handful of occasions, she revealed she sneaks into the country from time to time. "I always go to my country secretly and I enjoy the beaches and the places that are not so touristic with my family and friends," she wrote. "You guys know when I go because it's related to promotional stuff, but if I am in my country frequently, I am."
Another fan asked why she decided to end her tour in Mexico. "The expectation of closing my tour in my city was big for me," she replied. "Viva Tour kicked off in the USA and ended in Mexico. What was better than finishing at the Auditorio Nacional. I needed a lot of mental concentration because of the excitement I had to film this concert was great. I needed to meditate a lot." Finally one of her followers asked what she does with her babies when she's on the road. "When I go on tour, due to stress and concentration of the filming of the Viva Tour show, Tommy and I decided to leave the babies at home for a couple of days," she revealed. "Tommy loves to go to Mexico, he enjoys it and we have an incredible time." Watch a preview of the HBO Latino special down below and further down Thalía singing "Hábitame Siempre."
