Thalía patched things up with her grandmother Eva Mange in April over money that was owed to her after an apartment was sold. Court battles had caused a drift within the family but everything seemed to have been solved when Thalía visited her grandmother. She took time off from her press tour promoting "Viva Kids" musical album and snapped a photo with her. Now Gabriela Sodi, Thalia's sister, clarifies that everything has been resolved. "Everything is fine, everything is good and it's all just between the lawyers now," she told reporters. "Thaly has already paid, you should check on that." The snappy response was due to journalists pressuring her to reveal details of the settlement Thalía had with her grandmother.
With communication established between the Sodi sisters, Laura Zapata and their grandmother, they are planning a visit soon. "If it's not us, the right people in charge of this encounter will talk about it so we can have peace and be able to visit our grandmother," Gabriela said. However, it doesn't seem like things are fine and dandy as Sodi took a jab at Zapata saying, "I think that the one that poses for pictures is another person, she has capitalized on it very well and she has done it around this." Back in April Thalía Instagrammed a photo with Mange and wrote: "One of the best days of my life. I love you grandma! I am so happy to see you and hug you. Always inseparable! Thank God."
After that encounter Laura Zapata addressed the media to talk about Thalia's visit. "She came to visit my grandmother and that has me really happy," she said. "My grandmother at 96 years of age is receiving divine justice because this is how it had to be. I had not talked to her [Thalia] everything was through the lawyers. I think what is important is this moment of joy and happiness for my grandmother. The doors of my home have always been open. Many lies have been uncovered that had been said about me and this is a new accomplishment for the happiness of my grandma." The encounter with Thalia after much debate was cleared up. "We hugged each other very fondly," Laura said. "It was a reunion like the one we had over my mother's casket and I hope there are no more interferences."
