A 16-year-old boy in India’s Madhya Pradesh reportedly killed himself as he "failed to become a good dancer". The teen boy left behind a suicide note requesting Prime Minister Narendra Modi to fulfill his last wish of producing a music video.
The unidentified teen, a resident of Gwalior city, came under a speeding train on Sunday night, Oct.10, Jhansi Road police station in-charge Sanjiv Nayan Sharma said, the Hindustan Times reported.
The boy’s dismembered body was recovered from the railway tracks on Monday morning.
Investigators also found a 'suicide note', purportedly written by the boy, in which he stated that he is taking the extreme step because he could not become a good dancer as his family and friends did not support him.
"In the suicide note, the teenager also said that a music video should be made after his death in which a song should be sung by Arijit Singh (Indian singer) and dance be choreographed by Sushant Khatri, a Nepali artist. The note said this music video will give peace to his soul and urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to complete his last wish," Sharma said.
The police have initiated a probe into the teen’s death. This is an ongoing investigation and no further details were revealed at the time of this writing.
In a similar but unrelated incident, a 15-year-old girl hanged herself to death after her parents rebuked her for using TikTok. The shocking incident happened in Cairo, Egypt.
According to the police, the teen girl was addicted to Tik Tok and her mother had warned her from using the cellphone app.
However, the teen ignored her mother’s orders and continued using the app. She had recently posted a video on the app which angered her mother, who then complained to the girl’s father.
Police said the father scolded the girl, confiscated her phone, and grounded her.
Angered by her parents’ actions the teen girl stormed into her room and hanged herself from the ceiling. She was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was declared brought dead.
The police are investigating the incident and are speaking to the girl’s family and friends.
