A teen girl reportedly killed herself after her father caught her in a compromising position with her lover in Vijayapura, Karnataka, India.
A teen girl reportedly consumed pesticide kept in their field and committed suicide after her father caught her red-handed in a compromising position with her lover Mallu Jamkhandi. After his daughter died, the teen girl's father abducted his daughter's boyfriend. Later, with the help of a relative, he tied the hands of legs of the boy and forced him to consume the remaining poison, and murdered him, the Times Of India reported.
After killing the boy, the girl's father along with his relative discarded the body in Krishna River near Bilagi, Bagalkot district, on Sept 22. About three weeks after the duo discarded the body, the officers reportedly found the boy's body in Krishna River, Vijayapura on Saturday, Oct. 15.
Following this, the officers launched an investigation into the incident and found that a case of kidnapping was registered against the boy by the teen girl's father. It was also found that the boy's parents had filed a missing person case about their son at the Tikota police station on Sept 22, Times Now reported.
“When a minor girl and her lover Mallu Jamkhandi were in a compromising position, the girl’s father had caught them red-handed. As he warned his daughter not to do such things, she immediately consumed pesticide kept in their field and died on the spot,” Vijayapura Superintendent of Police (SP) HD Anand Kumar said.
“After this, the father tied the hands and legs of Mallu with the help of a relative and forced him to consume the remaining poison, and murdered him. They discarded the bodies in Krishna River near Bilagi, Bagalkot district, on Sept 22,” he added.
Kumar added that the officers have launched a search to find the girl’s body.
According to the investigating officers, the girl's father and his relative have admitted their offense and have been arrested. However, they have so far not disclosed the details regarding where the girl's dead body is or what they have done to it. The police officers are questioning them in this regard.
