Connecticut police arrested a drunk man speeding over 130 mph on I-395 early Sunday who claimed he was rushing home to be with his cat.

Logan Mirmozaffari, 28, of Norwich, was pulled over near Exit 11 after officers activated their lights and sirens.

When questioned about speeding, Mirmozaffari reportedly told officers he was rushing home to see his cat.

The situation escalated when officers observed signs of intoxication. His speech was slurred, his eyes were glassy, and there was a strong smell of alcohol, according to police.

Following a failed field sobriety test, Mirmozaffari was arrested on charges of driving under the influence and reckless driving.

He was later released on a $500 bond and is expected to appear in Norwich Superior Court on February 6, as reported by Daily Voice.
