The release date for "Super Smash Bros." for 3DS is right around the corner and the news surrounding both the handheld and Wii U versions have been plentiful. Just last week there was plenty of news revealed such as the physical customization of your Mii fighters will affect their fighting style, Poppant was confirmed for the 3DS version's Smash Run and Nabbit will appear as a stage hazard.
Masahiro Sakurai has been regularly posting loads of content regarding the games on his Miiverse account. We've seen costume customizations, weapon customization, powers, final smashes and exclusive stages. Find out what exactly has been revealed for "Super Smash Bros." Wii U, 3DS in this news roundup.
1. First up is Little Mac in a brand new outfit. The boxer is sporting a pink jumpsuit with the hood pulled up, green boxing gloves, and black laced sneakers. Sakurai posted the picture with the caption: "Pic of the day. The pink sweatshirt looks really cool on Little Mac, so you can use that outfit in this game… How can a pink sweatshirt look so cool?"
2. Sakurai also revealed a Mii fighter in wearing a different costume and announced that the arm cannon's design will change depending on your fighters outfit. He did mention that the attacks however will not change. With this bit of news it is safe to assume that other weapons the Mii fighters use will change depending upon their outfits too.
3. Mega Man.EXE and Mega Man Volnutt were revealed, unfortunately not as playable characters. Sakurai wrote in his post "Pic of the day. Mega Man.EXE and Mega Man Volnutt!! They only appear for a split second, but the modeling is so detailed. And if that's the case…!"
4. 3DS gamers will be happy to learn that they will receive an exclusive Pac-Man stage dubbed Pac-Maze. The stage resembles the classic Pac-Man stage and has some added features. Sakurai's caption reads: "Pic of the day. Pac-Maze is a stage exclusive to the 3DS version, created in the Pac-Man motif. If you eat 100 Pac-Dots, Power Pellets will appear in your color."
5. Fans got a look at the Gunner's Mii fighter side smash attack. Sakurai also revealed the attack has the furthest reach of all side smashes saying "Pic of the day. The Mii Gunner's side smash attack may have the farthest reach of all the side smashes…as should be expected from a firearms expert!! Looks like the attack missed this time, though." Check it out below!
6. With the reveal of the Gunner's side smash, which Sakurai revealed has the furthest reach, he then mentioned a new up smash from Palutena that reaches just as far if not further. Sakurai writes, "Pic of the day. I talked about an attack with a far reach in yesterday's post, but it didn't compare to Palutena's up smash attack! No joke, it reaches really far. It reached so far in this shot that even the rocketbarrels got blown up." Check out the up smash below!
