New details about the "Super Mario 3D Land" stage have been revealed. Super Smash Bros.

New details have been revealed about the “Super Mario 3D Land” stage for “Super Smash Bros.3DS. The stage was previously shown in past videos and images and was revealed to be a continuously scrolling stage like the Rainbow Cruise stage from previous games in the franchise. Director of the title, Masahiro Sakurai, explained on Miiverse the stages features. "First, it advances by side-scrolling. Then you continue into the valley -- it's in 3D Land, after all. The protruding stone blocks change the angles of the platforms."

IGN reports the rest of the level involves more side-scrolling that ends in a downhill slope. Then at the end of the level, players can hope in a green pipe that take them back to the start. Sakurai revealed that the level takes “roughly two minutes to complete a lap.” Check out the pics of the new stage below.

While an official release date has yet to be revealed “Super Smash Bros.” Wii U and 3DS are expected out later this year.

Meanwhile 24 fighters have been confirmed for the “Super Smash Bros.” Wii U and 3DS title. The character roster includes: Diddy Kong, Little Mac, Lucario, King Dedede, Zelda, Rosalina and Luma, Marth, Mario, Donkey Kong, Link, Samus, Kirby, Fox, Pikachu, Bowser, Pit, Villager, Mega Man, Wii Fit Trainer, Pikmin & Olimar, Luigi, Peach, Toon Link and Sonic.
