Though the leak has not been confirmed by Nintendo or the games director Masahiro Sakurai it does coincide with Nintendo's trend of releasing games on a Friday. As of right now the games official site has the Wii U versions launch as "Holiday 2014."
Meanwhile another rumor from Gamespot has revealed the 3DS console will act as a wireless controller for the Wii U's version of "Super Smash Bros." Way to take a page out of PlayStations book. There has always been some connectivity between the 3DS and Wii U versions of the game such as character transfer, but this is the first we’ve seen the 3DS being used as a controller for the game.
"Super Smash Bros." for 3DS will release Oct. 3 and if this latest rumor is true the Wii U version of the title will arrive Nov. 21.
