Can I get a 'hell yes'? "Super Smash Bros." director Masahiro Sakurai posted a picture on Miiverse of an epic Original Game Boy Stage for "Super Smash Bros. 4" for Nintendo 3DS. For video gamers with an appreciation for nostalgia, this nugget of good news should make your morning!
"If you turn on the 3D effect, it really looks like there's a Game Boy inside the screen," said Sakurai on the new stage. The image features King Dedede and Kirby below a classic Nintendo logo.
"Super Smash Bros. 4" release date for Nintendo 3DS is Oct. 3, 2014. Earlier this month, Sakurai also revealed a new minigame known as "Target Blast." According to Sakurai, "Target Blast" is a twist to the addictive "Home-run Contest."
The destruction challenge features a bomb in the middle of the arena. Once a player touches the bomb, the countdown begins and the player must deliver enough damage and launch the bomb at the right time. Not only will the bomb explode, but players must try to set off the biggest chain reaction possible in order to earn a high score.
Last month, Sakurai announced that a "Paper Mario" will also be available for "Super Smash Bros." on 3DS. According to the Miiverse post, the stage draws influence from Sticker Star and Thousand Year Door and transforms like folding origami. We cannot confirm whether the "Paper Mario" stage will be an exclusive for the 3DS or if it will come to Wii U as well.
Last but not least, there will be a new Pokemon stage based off of N’s Castle from "Black and White" as well. Pokemon including Reshiram, Zekrom, and Milotic will also revealed!
