Steve Nash of the Los Angeles Lakers reportedly does not want to pay his ex-wife Alejandra Amarilla any extra child support funds. Nash said Amarilla already has millions of his dollars through their divorce settlement, according to the Huffington Post.

Steve Nash is worried that if he pays more in child support than his estimated $30,000 per month, that Amarilla will "spoil" his children because she should already have enough in the bank from the divorce.

The Christian Post reported that sources supposed Alejandra would like to move to Los Angeles, where Nash plays basketball. Since an Arizona judge has ruled in Steve Nash's favor for the time being, moving to California would likely require the South African-born athlete's ex to begin her legal battle somewhat anew. Nash previously played for the Phoenix Suns, and Amarilla still resides in the Grand Canyon State.

Nash, who grew up in Canada, has three children with Alejandra Amarilla, born between 2004 and 2010. He divorced Amarilla shortly after the birth of their last child, Matteo: "I am very thankful and excited that we have a new son, Matteo Nash. Alejandra and the baby are doing fine. But this is a bittersweet moment for my wife and I: after five years, we are now in the process of dissolving our marriage."

Nash has been previously criticized for his public actions in the past as well. ESPN Sportscaster Skip Bayless, then a writer for the San Jose Mercury-News, wrote that Nash should "shut up and play" after an exhibition during his time with the Dallas Mavericks in 2003. His outspoken opposition of the Iraq War led to him wearing an apparently custom-made anti-war tee shirt to a game in April of that year. The stunt drew the ire of Bayless and countless other observers as well.
