If had been an ardent fan of 2019’s action-adventure game "Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order," then we have some good news for you: as per reports, "Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2" is already in its development phase at Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts! It is expected to be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC.
As of now, Electronic Arts has two Star Wars projects that they are working on, of which one is a "smaller, more unusual" project at EA Motive. This one has already been confirmed and is being developed by the EA.
On the other hand, "Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order," which hit the market in 2019 and was released on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC, will be getting a sequel even though it had major issues like bugs and less-than-satisfactory performance. The deciding factor that probably led to the sequel is the fact that despite its problems, the game received strong and positive reviews coupled with some massive sales.
A job listing by the Star Wars team back in December was all that was needed to confirm the news
“We’re picturing someone who is passionate about the Star Wars universe and is invigorated by the idea of coding third-person action-adventure games,” read the job listing, which sought a Senior Software engineer.
As for the rave reviews that "Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order" received, it was labeled as a “riveting, single-player Star Wars game” that “is an experience people have been yearning for in recent years” as mentioned by Comic Book’s review.
“As more was revealed about the game, including its influences from other series and how players would have to essentially rebuild him, the game became immensely more attractive. After playing it through to the end, those updated expectations held up, as 'Fallen Order' proved to be a tremendously entertaining and a sometimes challenging game that's a welcome shift from Electronic Arts' past endeavors, though whether or not it’s a meaningful 'Star Wars' story will rest solely on the individual’s familiarity with the franchise,” the review further added.
